When we decide to opt out of something, it means that we choose not to participate. Typically we don’t associate “opting out” with early death. In reality, however, we can choose to” opt out” of the diseases most likely to kill us, through healthy lifestyle changes. The term “opt out” is often used in reference to things such as email marketing, telemarketing, or perhaps even doing the dishes or renewing NFL season tickets! But, have you ever considered “opting out” of early death? Were you even aware that you had this choice? You may at this point suggest that “opting out” of early death cannot be guaranteed. That is true, but then again, nothing in life is for certain. Then, why bother to opt out of anything? When we opt out of junk email or telemarketing, we still get some anyway, but probably much less than we used to receive. Perhaps we get 90-95% less of these nuisance emails and phone calls. So, although not guaranteed, we are really stacking the odds in our favor. Well, then, what if you could reduce your chance of premature death by 90 or 95 %? What if you could reduce your chances of a heart attack to virtually negligible? Would you do it? Would you choose to”opt out”?Well, we do indeed have the choice to” opt out” of most heart attacks and strokes as well as diabetes and obesity. We can also opt out of many cancers, such as lung, colon, breast and prostate. How so? By adopting a healthier lifestyle, which protects us from these and other chronic diseases, stacking the odds in favor of longevity… instead of early death. The environment within our bodies can be conducive to disease development or it can be protective against disease. A healthy lifestyle, including nutritious meals, regular exercise, and inner peace contributes to a strong immune system which fights off disease, often in the early stages, before the disease process debilitates or kills us. A healthy lifestyle can also can reverse narrowing in our heart or neck arteries, that otherwise would contribute to heart attacks and strokes. A healthy lifestyle often can reverse impotence, without Viagra. It also reverses diabetes and hypertension, decreasing the need for prescription drugs (and their many nasty side effects). We are really the first generation of Americans who have the choice to opt out of early death due to these typically American or so called Western diseases. Fifty years ago, medical research was not adequate to recommend what constitutes a truly “healthful” meal. Bacon and porterhouse steaks were considered healthful meals, but in truth, when eaten too often, they were contributing to many heart attacks and strokes and subsequent premature deaths. We now know that fruits, vegetables, and whole grains optimize our bodies’ natural healing elements.Fortunately, medical research now strongly supports healthy lifestyle changes for preventing and reversing many diseases, including those which kill most Americans… .So consider making healthy lifestyle changes today. You really can make the choice to “opt out” of early death! For more information and resources on healthy lifestyle changes, please Authentic Titans Matt Hasselbeck Jersey, Colts Jeff Saturday Authentic Jersey, Official Seattle Seahawks Jersey, Seahawks Sidney Rice Jersey, Redskins Santana Moss Jersey, Redskins DeAngelo Hall Jersey, Colts Jersey, Authentic Tennessee Titans Jersey, wholesale nfl jerseys free shipping, Texans Jersey, Authentic Washington Redskins Jersey

USA TODAY’s Nate Davis looks at the superlatives for Week 5 of the NFL season:Best tribute to fallen owner: A day after Raiders owner and patriarch Al Davis, 82, died, Oakland came from behind to prevail at Houston 25-20. S Michael Huff intercepted Texans QB Matt Schaub in the end zone on the final play to seal the win. Raiders coach Hue Jackson was overcome with emotion on the sideline (as was Davis’ son, Mark, in a Reliant Stadium suite) following a win that elevated the team to 3-2.Best leg: Raiders K Sebastian Janikowsi kicked three FGs of at least 50 yards in the win. He now has 28 from long range in his career.Brady’s bunch of wins: Patriots QB Tom Brady won his 30th consecutive regular-season  home start in Sunday’s 30-21 beating of the Jets. He has not tasted a non-postseason defeat in  Foxborough since losing to the Jets on Nov. 12, 2006, though he has lost  two playoff starts in the interim. His streak of consecutive games  with at least two TD throws was snapped at 13, and he also threw his  first regular-season red-zone INT at home.Grounded and pounded: After denying a pregame report that their receivers were upset by the offensive playcalling, the Jets dropped to 2-3 — and gained just 255 yards against what had been the league’s worst defense. New England had allowed at least 448 yards in every game this season prior to Sunday. Most costly reversal: Patriots WR Deion Branch appeared to fumble at the Jets’ 2-yard line after catching a 4-yard pass from Brady in the third quarter. But officials overturned the ruling even though it appeared Branch was transferring the ball from one arm to another while on his knees before he was hit. After possession was restored to New England, Brady had plenty of time to find a wide-open Branch for a 2-yard TD on the next play and a 17-7 lead.In the Nick of time: Bills ILB Nick Barnett picked off his second pass Sunday in spectacular fashion, gathering in a ball that Eagles WR Jason Avant seemed to have caught but was jarred loose by Bills CB Drayton Florence and into the arms of Barnett. Buffalo went on to run out the clock in a 31-24 victory. The nightmare continues: Earlier in the game, Avant fumbled after a 35-yard gain in the third quarter, a turnover which subsequently staked the Bills to a 31-14 lead that proved insurmountable. The Eagles could’ve gotten the ball back after Barnett’s second INT, but veteran Philadelphia DE Juqua Parker committed a neutral-zone infraction on fourth-and-1 (after Philly used its last timeout) with 1:23 to go from the Eagles 49-yard line — the Bills almost surely would not have snapped the ball — and killed any chance Philadelphia had of regaining possession and tying the game. QB Michael Vick was picked off a career-worst four times.Worst onside kick: Trailing 21-7, the Eagles tried one to start the second half. The Bills recovered … but it didn’t count since the referees had not yet signaled for play to start.Best rushing QB of all-time: Vick ran for 90 yards Sunday, giving him 4,948 for his career and surpassing former Eagle Randall Cunningham (4,928) for the all-time lead among quarterbacks.Century club: Vick and Aaron Rodgers each threw threw their 100th career TD passes Sunday.Best No. 4 wideout: Packers WR James Jones caught Rodgers’ benchmark pass, a 70-yarder that proved to be the winning score in Green Bay’s 25-14 win at Atlanta. Jones often gets lost in the shuffle behind WRs Greg Jennings, Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson — not to mention TE Jermichael Finley — but he bested them all yesterday with five catches for 140 yards plus the score.Biggest coming-out party: The 49ers had been under the radar to some degree prior to Sunday despite their 3-1 ledger. They announced themselves as more than NFC West contenders with a 48-3 thrashing of the Buccaneers, a win which maintained their two-game divisional lead.Biggest letdown: After winning 24-17 vs. a national audience on Monday Night Football in Week 4, the Bucs should’ve stayed home in Week 5 rather than waste the cross-country flight before getting flattened, losing DT Gerald McCoy (ankle) and matching the worst defeat in franchise history. The Bucs fell out of a first-place tie with the Saints in the NFC South.Still streaking: Saints QB Drew Brees fired a TD pass in his 32nd consecutive game, leaving him four behind Brett Favre for the second-longest streak ever. momentum and thePittsburgh Steelers reeling. One frustrating sequence was all it took for the Titans to see theirthree-game winning streak and chance to make an early-season statement come to ascreeching halt in a 38-17 loss. The Titans squandered a pair of Pittsburgh gifts on the opening drive, settling for three points and giving the Steelers enough life to roll to theirmost decisive win of the year.It was a small moment in a long game, but indicative of what was to come. The Titans didnt get into the end zone until their were down by 25 points.  We just lost rhythm, running back Javon Ringer(notes) said. Things justdidnt go our way this game after the first drive. Not with Ben Roethlisberger(notes) throwing for five touchdowns. Not with theSteelers bottling up Chris Johnson. Not with Tennessee penalties preventing anyhope of a desperate comeback. They kicked our butts and we kicked our butts, Tennessee defensivelineman David Ball(notes) said.Roethlisberger helped, shaking off a sprained left foot to tie a franchiserecord with five scores. The Titans came in with the leagues top scoringdefense, allowing 14 points a game. The Steelers had 21 by halftime. We just didnt play well, coach Mike Munchak said. We gave up bigplays in the beginning of the game and all three phases, and thats what happenswhen you give it up to a good team like this on the road.Johnson ran for a score but finished with 51 yards rushing on 14 carriesbefore leaving with a tweaked hamstring as the Titans (3-2) cooled off headinginto their bye week. Its not the kind of performance they were looking for after a solid openingmonth in which they beat Baltimore at home and rode the steady play of MattHasselbeck(notes) to respectability.A win over the defending AFC champions would have made a statement. Theyappeared to be headed that way early. Johnson ripped off a 21-yard run on thegames first play, and two Steelers defensive penalties extended a drive thatallowed the Titans to take seven snaps inside the Pittsburgh 19.Those seven snaps, however, failed to generate a touchdown. The Steelers(3-2) held Tennessee to three, and when Antonio Brown(notes) returned the ensuingkickoff to midfield, Pittsburgh had life.I think they came back and the fact that they scored right away, that gottheir defense started again, Munchak said. Their defense got rejuvenated. The Steelers were playing without injured starters James Harrison(notes), CaseyHampton(notes) and Aaron Smith(notes). For an afternoon, they were not missed. Pittsburghscored touchdowns on its first three possessions as Roethlisberger deftly pickedapart the Titans.I told ya, I was just faking it (my injury), Roethlisberger said. Ima wimp. Not exactly.Roethlisberger completed 24 of 34 passes for 228 yards, his only hiccupcoming on an interception late in the first half after some miscommunicationwith Antonio Brown cost the Steelers a chance at a late score.I commend themtheyre smart, Munchak said. They put us in a lot ofhigh-pressure situations. We didnt get to lead like we wanted to, and they gotthe lead on us. They were able to dictate what they wanted to do.And ended up duping the Titans in the process. The game was still competitive when the Steelers were faced withfourth-and-5 at midfield. Punter Dan Sepulveda pulled the ball down and hit RyanMundy(notes) for a 33-yard gain. Two plays later, Roethlisberger found Ward for atouchdown and the Steelers led 14-3.Sometimes you get the bear; sometimes the bear gets you, saidTennessees Patrick BaileyTexans Jersey, Kenny Britt Jersey Authentic, Clinton Portis Jersey Authentic, wholesale jerseys china, Authentic Tennessee Titans Jersey, cheap nfl jerseys china, Colts Jersey, Authentic Washington Redskins Jersey, Official Seattle Seahawks Jersey, Dwight Freeney Jersey Authentic , Earl Thomas Authentic Jersey, Matt Schaub Jersey Authentic

The Raiders and Texans also observed a moment of silence for Davis beforethe game. The teams and fans paused for the moment while a short video of Davis wasshown on the video board. Most Raiders players kept their heads down and a fewclasped hands as the video was shown. The Raiders won three Super Bowls for their Hall of Fame owner.Quarterback Jason Campbell(notes), who threw two touchdown passes in Sundays win, said it was a difficult day for the team.We knew it was going to be a tough game, he said. We were fightingagainst our emotions to hold them back, but at the same time go out and win agame for him.NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said before the Bills game against the Eaglesthat a moment of silence would be held before every game this weekend. He really was a legend of the game, Goodell said. Theres not manypeople who had the kind of impact on the game. He was a commissioner, he was anowner, he was a coach, he was a general manager, and he was passionate about thegame of football. He loved the NFL as much as anybody I know.Former Oakland coach Tom Flores, in Houston as part of the Raiders radiobroadcast, reflected on his time working for Davis. Flores said Davis alwaysembraced the renegade image that was cultivated in his long and storied career. He wanted to be that maverick, Flores said. He was always that meagainst the world type of guy. He was a tough guy to work for. I worked for himfor a long time. But he also worked with you. When John (Madden) and I coachedwith him for 19 years, we won three Super Bowls for him. He demanded a lot, buthe also demanded a lot from himself. It was his life, and his passion. Heexpected you to have the same kind of love and passion for the game, and forthis team, that he did.An image of Davis in his trademark white jumpsuit was shown on the videoboards during the moment of silence at Seattles game at the New York Giants, the Titans game at Pittsburgh and the Saints game at Carolina.Jim Plunkett, who won two Super Bowls with the Raiders, remembered whenDavis would be at almost every practice yelling encouragement and keepingplayers on their toes. As Davis got older, he wasnt able to be with the team asmuch, but that didnt change his feelings for the Raiders. He never lost his love and his fire for the game, Plunkett said. Justsitting in the box with him, even though he couldnt speak loudly, this year, hed get his point across, telling everyone that they shouldnt have done thisor they shouldve done that. He wasnt yelling any more. A look at the latest injury reports and updates from around in the league in Week 5. » The Texans were dealt a potentially devastating blow when OLB Mario Williams was sidelined by pectoral injury against the Raiders. Steve Wyche reports the Texans wouldn’t speculate on Williams’ status, and he will undergo an MRI exam to determine the extent of the injury. Texans FB James Casey also with a pectoral muscle injury. » It also didn’t look good for Colts RB Joseph Addai, who was sidelined early against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Coach Jim Caldwell wasn’t certain about Addai’s status following the game. “Obviously is was bad enough for him not come back in the game,” Caldwell said. “So we will see how it does over the next 48 hours.” » Titans RB Chris Johnson didn’t play late against the Steelers as a precaution after his hamstring felt “a little tight.” Johnson said he was set to go back in, but the training staff didn’t want him to go back in the game to “make anything worse.” The Tennessean reported LB Colin McCarthy suffered a hamstring injury. » Charlie Whitehurst finished the game in Seattle after QB Tarvaris Jackson was sidelined by a pectoral injury. Seahawks TE Zach Miller sustained a head injury but did return, while the team also lost LB LeRoy Hill (hamstring) and linebacker Jameson Konz (strained knee). » Steelers RB Isaac Redman didn’t return against the Titans after leaving during the fourth quarter with cramping in his leg. The Steelers also lost yet another offensive lineman, as RT Marcus Gilbert was sidelined during the second quarter by a left shoulder injury and was replaced by Jonathan Scott. Center Maurkice Pouncey also left with a knee injury but was able to return. » Buffalo Bills WR Donald Jones is out indefinitely after he was carted off the field with a left ankle injury. “It’s not a year, but it’s going to be a while,” Bills coach Chan Gailey said. A report from WGRSports Radio said that Jones left the locker room on crutches. » Adding injury to an insulting defensive performance against the Vikings, starting safety Kerry Rhodes didn’t return after suffering a foot injury during the first quarter. Cardinals left guard Daryn Colledge also left the game during the third quarter after suffering a blow to the head. » Chiefs RB Le’Ron McClain injured his neck late in the first half against the Colts, according to the Associated Press. » Jaguars CB Drew Coleman (head) and left tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder) left the game against the Bengals and did not return. » The only known injury for the Raiders was to TE Matt Giordano, who left against the Texans with a concussion. » Two Giants — starting RG Chris Snee and long snapper Zak DeOssie — sustained concussions against the Seahawks. The Star-Ledger reported Snee would be hospitalized overnight for further observation. » Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy didn’t Heath Miller Authentic Jersey, Brandon Jacobs Jersey White, Authentic Dez Bryant Jersey, Michael Crabtree Authentic Jersey, Authentic Heath Miller Jersey Black, Danny Woodhead Authentic Jersey, Darren McFadden Jersey Womens, Authentic Dustin Keller Jersey, Dez Bryant Authentic Jersey, Dustin Keller Authentic Jersey, Jeremy Maclin Jersey Black, wholesale jerseys china, Authentic Clay Matthews Jersey, Darren McFadden Jersey White, Jared Allen Authentic Jersey, Replica Jeremy Maclin Jersey, Danny Woodhead Jersey Dark Blue, Authentic Brandon Jacobs Jersey Blue

But Watt has a feel for profootball history well beyond his 22 years.”I know about the Raiders, how they played, about the Black Holeand all that stuff,” Watt said, acknowledging Oakland’s tough-guy,outlaw mystique of yore. “I like to watch old NFL films.”Watt also has seen plenty of the new Raiders on film this week,so he also knows they are on the way back. Oakland is 10-10 overits last 20 games after posting, on average, nearly 12 losses perseason from 2003 through 2009.The Raiders who visit Reliant Stadium on Sunday are throwbacks, too. They’ll burn you with the bomb when they can - they averagemore than 400 yards per game - but that’s Plan B.Their Plan A is far more elemental. They want to shove DarrenMcFadden down your throat. McFadden, the NFL’s rushing leader thisseason by 77 yards over Maurice Jones-Drew, is picking up more than6 yards per carry. Two weekends ago, McFadden averaged 9 against the New York Jets. His 171-yard, two-touchdown afternoon propelled Oakland to an upsetvictory.Could he be the long-awaited second coming of Marcus Allen forRaiders Nation?Maybe. Ask Texans defensive coordinator WadePhillips, and he’ll tell you McFadden reminds him of EricDickerson. Injuries slowed the start of McFadden’s NFL career, buthe stayed on the field for 13 games last season and rushed for1,157 yards as Oakland finished second in rushing offense. The Raiders (2-2) have kicked it up a notch in 2011. McFaddenraced from the gate with 150 yards against Denver and has 468total, putting him on track for 1,872 over a season. He has broken for gains of 20 or more yards nine times, including three in excess of 40.”It’s incredible the way the guy runs,” Raiders quarterbackJason Campbell said. “He has a strong stiff-arm. He’s fast. He’sbig (6-2, 210). He’s an all-around back. He has what it takes to beone of the best in the league. HOLDERTimes Staff WriterTAMPA - Like any good football player, Vernon Davis hasaspirations. He wants to play in big games, and win division titlesand achieve things his team will be remembered for.Until this point, those dreams have seemed out of reach. But the49ers’ sixth-year Pro Bowl tight end has reason to believe thingsfinally might be different.”Since I’ve been here, we’ve been struggling,” Davis said thisweek. “I haven’t seen the playoffs since coming out of theUniversity of Maryland, and I’m thirsty. I’m ready to go and seewhat it’s like. I give my all every Sunday to help this team get towhere we need to go.”The 49ers are one of the great franchises, with five LombardiTrophies to prove it. One of the game’s most revered coaches (BillWalsh) and some of its finest players (Joe Montana, Jerry Rice,Steve Young) have worn their colors. But the team hasn’t seen the postseason or won more than eightgames in any season since 2002.As the Bucs travel cross country for a gameSunday against the 3-1 49ers, they’ll encounter a team thatbelieves it is changing for the better .With new coach Jim Harbaugh at the helm, the 49ers displayedtheir new-found determination in a rally from a 20-point deficitSunday at Philadelphia. It was a game that recent 49ers teamslikely would have surrendered, but there was a different vibe inthe huddle during that confidence-building victory.”It’s all will, man,” Davis said. “It all has to do with will.If you’re willing to put everything on the line and sacrifice yourbody to help your team win, then you’ll do it. That’s what we wereable to do this past week.”The team has taken on the tough-minded, no-nonsense approach ofHarbaugh. The 49ers play aggressive and physical defense, lead theNFL in turnover margin and have an edge. “I think that’s in ournature as a football team,” Harbaugh said.Few know Harbaugh’s personality - and that of his football teams- better than Bucs quarterback Josh Johnson, whoplayed for Harbaugh at the University of San Diego.”They’re playing tough, physical football games,” Johnson said.”I know that’s the kind of mentality he tries to put on his team, and that’s how they’ve been winning in hard-fought, physicalfootball games. In this league, that’s where it starts when you’retrying to create a foundation.”If you can come out and be tough and be physical, you giveyourself a chance to win. That’s why we’ve been having success.(The Bucs) have been able to run thefootball and win the line of scrimmage. I heard Steve Young, a couple of weeks ago mention when he played it was a sense that came over him and the sense was: Over my dead body, I will not lose this game, I will not let this guy in front of me beat me,  Vick said.                     Michael Vick and the Eagles dropped their third straight game Sunday.(US Presswire)                  Its just that over my dead body perspective you have to take.[ Video: Tony Romo blows off Jerry Jones on sideline ]Perhaps, given his past, this was not the best choice of words. But it was exactly what he needed to say. And as he said it, you could see he had carefully chosen this message, that he considered the implications and delivered it anyway because a tamer thought would not have the shock value the Eagles now need at 1-3 and in last place in the NFC East.Thats gut check, said Vick, after Philadelphia dropped its third straight game. Some people have it and some people dont but Authentic Brandon Jacobs Jersey were going to find out whos got it.Before the season, the Eagles went on a spending spree bringing in players like cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha(notes), defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins(notes) and pass rusher Jason Babin(notes) along with acquiring cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie via trade. They were supposed to build the heart of a new, tough defense that would make the Eagles the best team in the division and perhaps the conference. Around here folks started calling this The Dream Replica Brandon Jacobs Jersey Team. But dream teams need to tackle. They need to crush second-tier opponents. They need to not allow 127 yards rushing to running backs like a broken-down Frank Gore(notes). They need to dominate.[ Related: Big Ben spotted on crutches after loss ]The Eagles do not dominate. When they led the hapless 49ers by 20 points with 9:30 left in the third quarter, they needed to make sure San Francisco broke. Instead Premier Brandon Jacobs Jersey they gave up 100 fourth-quarter yards and seemed incapable of even grasping Giants Brandon Jacobs Jersey Gore when he rumbled into the secondary. Their new defense is soft and their offensive line is incapable of pushing back defenses when in the red zone. Right now Philadelphia is more like a flag football team: heavy on spectacular skill players and empty on the strong blocking and line play necessary to win games.A month into the season the Eagles are in danger of falling far behind the Redskins (3-1) and Giants (3-1) in a division they were supposed to win. But that message cannot be given by their coach Andy Reid, who sat at the same table as Vick on Sunday and muttered over and cheap nfl jerseys free shipping over through gritted teeth: I have to do a better job as the head football coach. The players are not going to listen to this. They are not going to hear Reid growling in a Monday morning meeting. They will, however, listen to Vick.[Yahoo! Sports Radio: Santana Moss on 3-1 Redskins]He sat comfortably behind the table on Sunday, frustrated but not anxious. He didnt scream. He didnt intentionally look glum. He simply stared and said the thing everyone on his team needed to hear – that they werent playing with the kind of desperation necessary to win in this league.Across the hallway, San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis(notes) was talking about something he recently read in a book, about how water boils at 212 degrees and how that water can be at 211 degrees yet the moment it hits 212 it begins to bubble and pop. With that one extra degree it gets to 212 and it makes steam and with steam you can move a train, he said.[ Video: Tony Romo intercepted by one Brandon Jacobs Authentic Jersey of his groomsmen ]The Eagles, who used to always be good for that one extra degree, dont have it at the moment. Vick is the one who will have to find it. He too has had his flaws this season. Teams have figured out he does not react well to Brandon Jacobs Jersey Blue blitzes up the middle and are rushing him harder than ever. He was intercepted once on Sunday and should have been a second time. But he also carried the team with 416 passing yards and 75 rushing. At this rate though, the beating he is taking will knock him out of the season by Thanksgiving. Someone else is going to have to care as much as he does or the year will be over well before its official end.He is probably not the best one to be talking about dead bodies. Yet with the Dream Team crumbling fast, there was Official Brandon Jacobs Jersey no one else to say the words that needed to be said and so he put them out there.Over my dead body. The question is: will anyone agree?                                                  Les Carpenter is a feature writer and columnist for Yahoo!
